Why UNIOSUN Rejects Admission?

  • Low JAMB or Post-UTME Score

    • Failing to meet the departmental cut-off mark can lead to automatic disqualification.
  • Wrong Subject Combination

    • Using incorrect subjects in UTME (e.g., for Law, Engineering, Medicine) will invalidate your application, even with a high score.
  • O’Level Deficiency

    • Missing or incomplete 5 credit passes, especially in English or Mathematics, make you ineligible.
  • Not Making UNIOSUN First Choice

    • UNIOSUN only considers candidates who selected it as their First Choice in JAMB.
  • Late or No Upload on JAMB CAPS

    • If you fail to upload your O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal, admission may be denied.
  • No Response to Admission Offer

    • If you do not accept the admission offer on JAMB CAPS within the deadline, it will be withdrawn.
  • Course Overcrowding / Quota Limit

    • Even eligible candidates can be rejected if the department’s quota is full.
  • Errors During Registration

    • Mistakes in name, date of birth, JAMB reg number, or result upload can disqualify you.
  • Double Admission Conflict

    • If you have already accepted admission from another school, JAMB may not approve a second one.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  •  Using wrong subject combinations
  • Applying with the wrong JAMB Reg. Number
  • Missing the payment confirmation step
  • Uploading blurry documents or the wrong passport photo
