ABSU UTME Form
Applications from competent persons are invited for the Abia State University 2025/2026 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular Students), which is open to students seeking admission via UTME (100 level) or DIRECT Entry. Admission to Abia State University requires completion of the 2025 admission screening exercise.
Candidates who chose Abia State University as their first choice university in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 195 points are eligible to take part in the Online Admission Screening Exercise.
How to Apply for ABSU UTME Form
- Visit the official portal
Go to https://www.portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/and click on the “Admission Screening” banner. - Log in
Enter your JAMB registration number, valid email, and phone number. - Pay the ₦2,000 fee
Generate the Remita RRR invoice and pay online (card) or at any bank. - Validate payment
Use the portal’s Remita validation tool to confirm your payment. - Complete the form
Select your department, fill in details, and upload your O’Level and JAMB results. For Direct Entry, upload your qualifying certificate - Submit & print
Submit the form and print your acknowledgment slip (and check your email for a copy)
Why ABSU Rejects Admission?

ABSU UTME application requirements
All potential ABSU students who wish to participate in the post-UTME Screening should ensure that they meet all of the conditions that have been established for all candidates. As you are already aware, only qualified candidates will be included on the ABSU Admission List, so do your best to meet all of the requirements before applying. See the prerequisites below:-
- UTME Score: You need a minimum score of 140 in your JAMB UTME to apply.
- O’Level Results: You should have at least five credits in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English and Math. You can use results from no more than two sittings.
- Institution First Choice: Choose ABSU as your first choice during your UTME. If you choose another school, change to ABSU on the JAMB portal before you apply.
- Age: You must be at least 16 years old.
- Program-Specific Requirements: Some courses ask for specific subjects. For example, agriculture may need credit passes in Chemistry, Biology or Physics.
- Direct Entry Applicants: You must have a valid qualification such as ND (at least lower credit), NCE or A-Level. Upload these documents while registering.
- Screening Fee: Pay a ₦2,000 screening fee through Remita.
- O’Level Upload on JAMB Portal: Upload your O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal before sending your application.
Just fulfill these requirements, then register online by creating your Remita slip, paying the required amount, completing the form, uploading your results, and submitting.
